Blizzard Entertainment has banned 30,000 World of Warcraft player accounts for "taking part in activities that violate the game's Terms of Use, including using third-party programs to farm gold and items, which severely impacts the economy of a realm and the overall game enjoyment for all players."I'm not surprised that there's "cheating" going on in WoW, but 30,000 accounts times 15 bucks a month ($450k/month!) seems like a huge chunk of change to sacrifice for fair play. Of course, those players are just going to reopen new accounts and keep doing what they're doing, so I don't think Blizzard will go broke anytime soon...
